When we walked into Imbibis Craft Distillery, the air was filled with a sense of genuine artisanal craftsmanship that’s so often promised but rarely delivered. From the moment we set foot inside, it was clear that this wasn’t just a place where spirits are made—it’s where experiences are crafted.
First Impressions
It’s said that first impressions last a lifetime, and Imbibis knows how to make a memorable one. As we walked in, we felt as though we’d stepped into a sanctuary dedicated to the art of distillation. The ambience resonated perfectly with how we’d perceived the brand—a harmony of expectation and reality that’s rare to find. The décor was tastefully done, with comfortable seating arrangements that welcomed us to sit, relax, and enjoy the experience.
A Cause Close to the Heart
What immediately captured our attention was the line-up of upcycled gin bottles transformed into beautiful scented candles. But it wasn’t just the aesthetics that impressed us; it was the cause behind it. Every candle sold contributes to Wounded Heroes, a local charity. Needless to say, we couldn’t resist bringing home a lemon myrtle-scented candle, which will soon grace our new office space, set to open on September 18th in East Ipswich.

We were thrilled to find out that the day’s tour was fully booked—a testament to Imbibis’s growing popularity. The tour was led by Jason, whose zeal and expertise were nothing short of inspiring. With years of experience and an award-winning winemaker, Jason is a treasure trove of knowledge.
As he guided us through the distillery, it was evident that each gin, rum, and brandy produced here was more than just a beverage; it was a story waiting to be told. Jason knew every detail, from locally sourced ingredients to meticulous distillation processes, and his passion was infectious.
